  • Who provides the news delivery service?

    This news delivery service is provided The Irish Times.

  • How much does the service cost?

    The cost of the service depends on your chosen publications, your preferred delivery days and the number of copies you subscribe to per week. A detailed pricing list is available on the Pricing & Delivery page.

  • Will I be charged a delivery charge?

    Currently there is no delivery charge for newspapers supplied by News Delivery. You can review all of the publications on the Pricing & Delivery page.

  • How can I pay for my subscription?

    Payments can be made by Visa or MasterCard.

  • When will I be charged for my subscription?

    All payments will be processed monthly and in advance at the beginning of each month.

  • How much will I be charged per month?

    The monthly cost of the service depends on your chosen publications, your preferred delivery days and the number of copies you have subscribed to. The number of calendar days in each month varies and as such the monthly charge can vary slightly.

  • How can I update my payment details?

    If you would like to update your payment information, please sign in to your Irish Times Account, go to the Payment Details section and update your saved card.

  • When will I receive my first newspaper delivery?

    Your first delivery date will be determined by the date and time you placed your order with us. Any orders placed before Thursday at 10:30am will commence at start of the following week. Orders placed after this will not start until a week after this. For details of the An Post newspaper delivery service please see below.

  • What time will my newspaper be delivered?

    The Irish Times will endeavour to deliver newspaper(s) to your home or office first thing each morning. However, from time to time, late breaking news stories, bad weather etc may delay deliveries in some areas. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, delivery times in some areas have been delayed.

  • What happens if I am due to go on holiday?

    If you would like to stop your newspaper delivery while you are away from your home or office, please login to your Irish Times Account, and go to the My Holidays page. We need a minimum of 2 working days to process your request.

  • My newspaper didn't arrive this morning?

    If an expected newspaper delivery did not arrive please let us know by filling out the form on the Contact Us page or by contacting a member of our Customer Service Team. Please note if your paper is delivered via An Post, non-deliveries should only be reported after 2pm on the expected delivery date. Non-deliveries must be reported within 24 hours of the expected delivery date.

  • What happens if I am moving house?

    Please contact a member of our Customer Service Team by filling out the form on the Contact Us page and we will endeavour to transfer your order to your new address. If we cannot service you at your new address we will cancel your order. As all payments are processed monthly in advance the cancellation period is determined by the number of paid issues remaining. In other words, the cancellation will be effective from the first day of the next month for which you have not paid us in advance.

  • What do I do if I want to cancel the service?

    We offer a flexible service. There is no fixed contract so if you change your mind you can amend or cancel your order. As all payments are processed monthly in advance so the cancellation period is determined by the number of paid issues remaining. In other words, the cancellation will be effective from the first day of the next month for which you have not paid us in advance.

An Post Delivery Service FAQs

  • What is the new service where I can get newspapers delivered by An Post?

    An Post has developed a new service to deliver newspapers each day in urban and rural areas during the COVID-19 crisis. You will be able to subscribe to your newspaper of choice and An Post will deliver the newspaper. Please note that all weekend papers will be delivered the following Monday due to printing times and An Post network cut off. Similarly, Monday papers will be delivered the following Tuesday

  • Can I get a newspaper delivered anywhere in the country with the An Post service?

    The An Post delivery service will deliver to the majority of places, however a small number of areas are serviced by distribution centres that cannot be reached due to printing deadlines. We are working hard with An Post to agree alternative arrangements.

  • Is there a delivery charge if I get my newspaper delivered by An Post?

    Currently there is no additional charge for the An Post delivery service.

  • Are all newspapers available on the An Post service?

    We are happy to offer all of the titles currently available on News Delivery for An Post delivery, with the exception of the weekday Irish Independent which is unfortunately not available. Please note that all weekend papers will be delivered the following Monday due to printing times and An Post network cut off. Similarly, Monday papers will be delivered the following Tuesday.   • When will I get my first newspaper if I sign up for the An Post service?

    You will receive your first newspaper shortly after your order has been processed by our team.

  • When will my newspaper arrive if it is delivered by An Post?

    Your newspaper will arrive each day with your regular postal delivery. Please note that all weekend papers will be delivered on Monday due to printing times and An Post network cut off, with the exception of bank holidays, when weekend papers will be delivered on Tuesday. Similarly, Monday papers will be delivered on Tuesday. Due to the Covid-19 crisis and social distancing requirements in distribution centres delivery times in some areas have been delayed. Non-deliveries via on Post should only be reported after 2pm on the expected delivery date

  • I heard that the An Post service was set up in response to the Covid-19 crisis. Will it be available long term?

    The service and product make up will be reviewed by An Post post the COVID-19 crisis.
